Emergency Services

In life-threatening situations, local emergency services are invaluable. The Cascade Valley Hospital Emergency Department is ready to help you and your family 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We have nationally recognized Certified Emergency Nurses on every shift.

Designated by Washington State as a Level IV trauma center, the Emergency Department must undergo a stringent survey process. This distinction assures excellence in trauma care, an exemplary staff, and up-to-date medical equipment. We are also pursuing Level III Stroke Center Designation. Cascade Valley Hospital is a member of the Cardiac and Stroke Network.

Staying current in emergency care demands a fully committed staff:

Specially designed facilities:
Our Emergency Department has specialty and multipurpose areas, ready to treat a wide variety of both urgent and emergent health needs, including:

  • Cardiac Monitoring
  • Obstetrics
  • Orthopaedic Injuries
  • Pediatric Care
  • ENT Care
  • Migraines

When minutes matter:
With Airlift Northwest stationed at the Arlington Airport, patients with the most critical needs can be on their way to the highest-level trauma center within 10 minutes and landing within 30. Our Emergency physicians and nurses are highly trained in stabilizing and preparing these patients for transport.

Understanding Triage
The term 'triage' implies prioritization of patients based on their degree of illness or injury. All emergency patients are triaged upon arrival. Sicker patients are then seen and treated more immediately than those with less urgent care needs.

Although every attempt is made to see patients in the order they arrive and as quickly as possible, the care being given to critically ill or injured patients may cause delays for others. We continually strive to decrease those delays and are proud to have an enviable record of examining, treating, and releasing or admitting 94% of our patients in less than four hours.
