Surgical Care Unit

If your surgery does not require an over-night stay, you will be admitted to Surgical Care Unit for your preparation and recovery from surgery. Some of the procedures performed on a day-surgery basis are:

• Arthroscopy
• Biopsies
• Blood transfusions, IV therapy and injections
• Colonoscopy
• Ear tubes
• Epidural steroid injections
• Gastroscopy
• Hernia repair
• Antibiotic infusion
• Sinusoscopy
• Tonsillectomy
• Vein ligation
• Discography
• Phlebotomy
• Indwelling venous catheter care
