Family Birthing Center

We strive to combine the hopes and dreams of expectant parents with the safety of today's medical care.

The birth of your baby, whether it is your first, or a happy addition to your family, is always a very personal experience. Striking an essential balance between a supportive, comfortable setting and the assurance of competent medical care, Cascade Valley Hospital has built a reputation on providing family-oriented care that offers the expectant parent a birth experience that's positive, safe and warmly remembered.

Birthing Plans
Everyone has different plans for what the birth of their baby should be like. That's why we encourage you to develop your own birthing plan. We will try to accommodate your wishes - as we recognize this experience is a lifelong memory.

Labor-Delivery-Recovery Rooms
Our LDR rooms are designed with the comfort of both mom and dad in mind. They are equipped with rocking chairs, foldout sleeper chairs, bassinets, TVs & DVDs, soft lighting and private bathrooms. The rooms also have high-tech birthing beds and state-of-the-art fetal monitors and oxygen equipment.

Nursery
You may choose to have your baby 'room-in' with you or be cared for by a specially trained nurse while you are resting. The nursery features a complete monitoring system to ensure the safety of your baby. Three board-certified pediatricians are on the hospital staff. Cascade Valley provides extra infant security for your baby through the Tot-Guard infant security system. In the unusual event that a newborn requires intensive care, the baby can be quickly transported by helicopter to Children's Hospital in Seattle.

Caring for You and Your Baby
The dedicated labor and delivery nurses want to make this a rewarding experience for you and your family. They receive specialized advanced training and are available to help before, during and after your baby is born. Their knowledge, skill and support can help you and your family prepare for its newest member.

Certified Lactation Consultant
A specialist is available to assist with breast feeding, whether the challenge is with mom, baby, or both.
